@jollyroger1827+[34/50] today (or rather yesterday) i did:
• not much
• reinstalled macos on my macbook to clear up clutter
• that's kinda it
@Nova0i started making a personal website! it’s a brand new project but i’ve already had a lot of fun with it, and there have been some challenges (especially considering this project uses zero ai for anything, so issues i would typically solve by asking ai have to be solved with docs and stack overflow instead). this is the code for the projects page, i made it super dynamic and fancy to make it easier for me to update.
(i’m viewing the website on my phone here, because my macbook’s safari is glitching with tailwind rules)
@jollyroger1827+[12/50] today i did:
• sent my macbook to apple store for repairs because i spilled a sweet drink all over it :noooovanish:
• worked on my siege project @Manislack ! it’s in a barely usable state right now! :manifold-markets:
• trolled @:lraj23: in #CQ8G37TSL| by using block kit :loll:
@JomarMilan0I completely forgot about Scrapbook all throughout making this. OOPS! I wrote and published my first crate and command-line utility in #C0121LVV79P|, spade-serial and spade-upload ! They can upload games to a #C02UN35M7LG| or whatever device running Spade. I spent a lot of time writing the tests and documentation.. I wanted to get it right since this is my first time, so I know what to do in the future. spade-serial is the crate that does the actual work while spade-upload is the application that makes use of the crate. It's useful to me because I use Safari on my MacBook and Firefox on my other laptop, neither of which implement the Web USB API, so this provides a way for me to put games on my Sprig without installing another browser that I don't want to use. I made spade-serial into a crate because I wanted to keep the logic separate so that people could apply it in multiple places, like maybe a GUI app.
The game uploaded in the video is this game. I did not create it.
GitHub Repository | spade-serial on crates.io | spade-upload on crates.io@KavishDevar0I tried to add a overlay to show whenever airpods are connected! And it turned out to be really difficult. It doesn't want to work whenever i try to use compose instead of the layouts, so, ig i'm stuck with the old boring layoutinflators etc... :pf:
it feels like my 2015 macbook air's temperature is reaching 200°C, when running slack, brave, and android studio all at once. too lazy to get up to my pc and work on it :/

@Cyao0This is a 3D Game Engine made with C++. Currently it shows 5000 rocks and a planet illuminated by a sun. It implements dynamic lighting and movement. Can achieve 70 FPS on my 10 year old MacBook and ~450fps on a Macbook M1.
Github: github.com/cheyao/opengl.git
Binary: github.com/cheyao/opengl/releases/tag/v2.0@ArtemKovalevskyi0I finished my first Sprig game 🤩. It's called Arcade runner.
> You are walking past one of the Arcade reviewers, and, suddenly, you see him tripping. At first, you rush to help him, but then you see that he fell on his backpack and all its contents are flying towards you. When you see so many tickets flying your way, you remember of that MacBook you wanted, so you take out your own bag to catch them. But be careful, as that reviewer also carried some bans, which you don't want to catch, since if you do, your account will be terminated and you will never be able to get any prize. Also be careful and don't catch any bugs that flew from all around the street when they noticed those tickets (they like them too, though you are not sure why). The more bugs you catch, the harder your bag will be to control. If you catch 5 or more bugs, they will be strong enough together to steal your bag with all those precious tickets you collected.
You can find the game here - sprig.hackclub.com/share/2Uy6Llxe5L5nWggmB6AX. Also GitHub repo here - github.com/Artem4852/arcaderunner. Apart from the main game file (game.js) there are some designs I've made in Photoshop. Also, there is a Python script extractBitmap.py that I've made to quickly convert images to sprites. If the image is bigger than 16x16, it divides it into smaller sprites (16x16 each) and copies all the bitmaps to clipboard. Idk if anyone finds it useful, but if so, I'd be happy!
@SanathWarad0iOS Todo List app, you can try it out if you have a macbook, i dont hv funding and i dont think its a worthy project to release it on the app store. github.com/waradsanath/Todo-List@Aryankapoor0Finally I have completed the homepage of my ecommerce website project . I have hosted it on github pages.I am facing some errors so I am thinking of hosting it using netlify instead. Its a full stack website although after a week of coding I have finally completed the front end for the homepage .I havent started the backend yet. Im still new and there are some errors I have to get around to fixing like If you visit the site, the website is not visible at first unless you click on shop. And if you click on shop again it just redirects you to my portfolio website which I have also hosted using github pages which is prolly why this error is coming. If anybody can point out any other errors it would be really helpful. Also if anybody can help me with these errors it would be really appreciated (Cause I am going for the macbook) . Anyways here is the link to the github repo: github.com/Aryankpoor/secondhand and here is the link to the website : aryankpoor.github.io/secondhand . It is mainly a clothing brand website.
@EmperorNumerius0Day #i forgot how far along I am of #15-days-in-public
Today I updated my MacBook Pro to MacOS 15.4
@Yancheng0Day 4 of #15-days-in-public: Not much work today—I made some general improvements to my current code. I should have thought twice before installing the beta on my macbook when I'm in the middle of working on a project...
See how the file in the sidebar doesn't match the file opened at the top? It's because Xcode has stopped responding. The screenshot doesn't capture the rainbow wheel of doom, but this has been spinning for a few minutes now...
@EditedYoshi0Used OpenCore legacy patcher and updated this 10 year old MacBook Air to macOS Sonoma!
@msw0I designed the anti-flux chip for your macbook. Flux dims the screen to help you stop using your laptop when you should be going to bed. My board rumbles when it detects light, discouraging laptop use during the day.
@jack05 screens at my desk rn (normally 7 but i forgot my ipad and other laptop)
@toonnongaeoy0Install and moding Windows 11 to look like a mac one.
@jzaleta0Today I started to remake a workshop repo I did and learned more on how to make a vscode theme! Also here's my macbook uptime.
@Andrew0configured tailscale today on my macbook & linux server so I can access a code server. this is super cool
@jzaleta0Today I started to work on my Visual Studio Code setup! :vsc: I installed Atom's :atom: One Dark theme which is awesome, and Prettier code formatter :macbook-air-space-gray-screen: that was a recommendation from @caleb! I also studied for my exams 🦠 , and worked on a new PR :pr: for Hack Club! :hack-club: Also here's macOS penguin default wallpaper. 📸
@jzaleta0Today I started learning about what are GLSL Shaders thanks to a very cool art 🎨 project made with them that uses awesome :cooll-dino: math things like polar coordinates and Voronoi shapes, which I used previously with Paper.js! :javascript: All of this was thanks to @ced that mentioned this to me, besides his Shaders book recommendation: thebookofshaders.com 📕 Here's some screenshots of it! 📸 It's difficult but very interesting! I also I started to look for more themes to customize my coding setup and to change how internet websites look on my browser! 🌐 🕸️ Here's how my repositories look with a custom theme! 🎨 Although I still need to see more options and choose the best one for me. And finally, I read again a bit more of GitHub :github: CodeSpaces, and my following final exam that I'll have this next Tuesday will be Biology again! 🌱 🦠 :quad_parrot:
@jzaleta0Recently I made a post about writing a Sci-Fi 🛸 story on the terminal, and here's how it can be done! This applies as well to this awesome :cooll-dino: ASCII Art of a computer :macintosh-stcicker: and Hack Club! :hack-club: This are the steps:
1. 🥇 First of all, open a terminal emulator, this one is cool-retro-term because it has some awesome retro effects! :awesome:
2. 🥈 Second, open Vim :vim: on it!
3. 🥉 Third, start tying the info you want to be display! 💻
That's all, it's very simple and the results are great :D :parrotdad:
@jzaleta0Today I continued studying for my exam, helped to review a Hack Club :hack-club: Workshop PR :pr: and started working on another workshop translation! :mexicoparrot: Also I'm going to be setting up a VM Server using Oracle and CloudFlare :cloudflare: and try to install Pop_OS! on it! As well I hope my GitHub :github: Graduation 🎓 PR will get merged on time :merge: because the time it's almost over! ⏲️ And lastly, here's a retro styled terminal on my Macbook, which I used to had on my Pop_OS! :pop-os: Linux :linux: setup and that I will use to write a Science Fiction story! 🛸
@jzaleta0Today I had my Calculus Exam and it went great! All the study hours were worth it! :quad_parrot: Also today r/place ended, and although we couldn't keep the Hack Club logo :hack-club: on the canvas it as a nice and fun experience! And that's a very cool memory to keep :D 🗃️ 🚗 Also I finished the main part of my website content, so coding is a priority for it again! And started customizing the Stats Bar for my Macbook Air :macbook-air-space-gray-screen: as part of my rice in progress! 🌾
@cwi0Arch Linux booting bare-metal on an M1 MacBook Air (2020).
@jzaleta0Today I'm working again on the Procedural Art workshop :toitle: before moving to another one! I'm also going to rice/customize 🌾 my MacBook again! :macintosh-stcicker::macbook-air-space-gray-screen: And also. setup some terminal and CLI tools! :iterm2: I'm also following MDN Web Docs on Front End Web Development! And here's an image of my first scrapbook post, now turned into a emoji using #emojibot :stickers: ! Lastly tomorrow I have Biology as I said yesterday! So I'm going to be sharing more cool images of tissues on the microscope! 🔬 🧪 :labtocat:
@jzaleta0I'm going to be moving my Linux install to a VM on my M1 Macbook Air using UTM! This is because there are some things I'm trying and building with Linux and I will going soon on a trip and I can only take one laptop, this is going to be a very interesting experiment, because I will be using an ARM based virtual machine for the first time!
@jzaleta0There's a bug with Übersicht, so I won't be using it for my setup, today I had my Bio final test and also organized some school files I moved from my hard drive to my macbook so today I didn't worked on my projects either, but there's a small update about the most recent one I talked about yesterday, and it have to do with some science articles I have been reading since many years ago, it's a website to document something special about them!
@jzaleta0Today I added new topics to my Obsidian Guide of things I'm going to learn as a programmer, started setting up my Dotfiles for my macbook air setup with the help of a very useful freeCodeCamp article and did more progress in my second workshop.
@jzaleta0So, as I mentioned two days ago:
I did a fresh reset of MacOS Monterey on my M1 Macbook Air and I set up some coding tools, like iTerm and Atom and also installed Homebrew, did more research on using Git and started using Raycast after moving on from Alfred. In addition to this, I learned more about website deployment and useful tools for it and finally found the perfect domain name for my personal/blog/portfolio/projects Website, although I can't buy it at the moment.
@jzaleta0Today I worked again on my Personal Website Workshop, almost ready to ship the final website with all the improvements done.
Next thing to do tomorrow!
Fresh MacOS Monterey install on M1 MacBook Air, setup Homebrew, re-install proper coding tools I managed to learn and keep going!!!
@Grand0Today I learned that shutting down your macbook pro every day isnt good.
@cwi0I got Kali Linux running on my M1 Macbook Air. The screenshot is in undercover “windows” mode. The vm is UTM, and it’s pretty good! It’s almost as fast as bare metal.
@ian0Trying to get MacOS High Sierra on an 11 year old MacBook Pro!
@sarthak0All of our Mintere sites are generated by components so you can’t do fancy stuff like negative margins and what not 😞 but anyways in Figma, I’m used to just generating a Macbook/Desktop Frame and scaling the height by x to get the exact vh for each section and then I do the fancy stuff with absolute positioning and negative margins.
Fast forward to today and I noticed something super interesting one of our designers (or both idk) which is really nice for componentized design. I might just use this method now cause it’s easier than scaling the height by x and trying to remember the original height. cc @ben
tldr: Use Auto-Layout with individual Macbook/Desktop frames and make your developers happy :)
@neervikasv0My mac is back from repair!!! Happiness 🥰
