I'm currently building an agentic AI that can dynamically remind you of things that don't necessarily have a fixed date or time. If you ask Hyplex to notify you when GTA V has a discount on any platform, instead of searching for a fixed date (there is no fixed date), Hyplex will periodically check Epic Games and Steam for a discount, and when it finds one, it will notify you. Hyplex is not just for discounts! For example, if there's a movie you watched in theaters, and you want to watch it again digitally but there's no info on when it comes to digital platforms... just ask Hyplex to notify you when it drops! Hyplex will check the internet until the movie finally goes digital, and when it does, it will notify you!

Day 163 / 365 Hello everybody, kaplin here, back with another scrapbook post. Today. I uh. existed :) woke up early, did my chores and summer schoolwork, played some noita, and got good progress on 2 projects. Project 1 being my club ysws site. I added a small gallery section. Also added the hackclub flag to the corner like all of the club ysws sites. I think I only really have to just figure out the numbers now!! and also run through the tutorial to make sure its all good, alongside maybe even making some miniguides to help with specific features? Idk. Might just make a total one with all the features in the mini guides. Idk. Project 2 of today was the recode of my game One Turret (available on steam btw go wishlist it or buy it) (dont buy it yet its not really good right now. this next update is all about making the game better rather than new content). I got the decors to load! I suppose i will explain how one turret does its maps. You feed it a tileset and then you can place the tiles and all that. You can rotate these tiles and also edit them to be not-placable-on for gameplay. You can also add full images called decor as decoration for maps. These are handled differently, since its one big image for one tile, rather than a normal tilesheet. anyways its now loaded with the new resource-based system (compared to the old .zip based)!!! So in totality, i think that the map loading is done. Next is the enemy manager!!!

Day 162 / 365 I wanted to wake up at 8 am and lock in and such but i ended up sleeping in till 12 lol. Still made decent progress on stuff! Inbetween having to drive my dad to the doctor and my brother to the pool (my mom was out of town so i gotta drive my brother to the pool), I played some noita but also worked on the recode for my game one turret! I got the new recoded ores finished, got that hooked up with the drill building (that part was the easiest) and also fixed a bug where factory tiles bigger than 1x1 couldnt give items to other tiles that are bigger than 1x1. this is due to the fact that while they share more than one tile, the processing only actually happens on a set root tile for the whole building. previously, it was checking if an item input came from a building that matches one of the input positions of the target, but since it was only running on that root tile, it only checked if the root tile for the building was in the input position. for buildings larger than 1x1, rarely will this be the case, so i just made it check the root and all associated tiles (which was easy since im a good programmer and already added an 'associated tiles' field to the tilestate resource)

Day 161 / 365: Somehow I did less things than yesterday, and I even woke up earlier than usual!!! raa!!! So yeah my day mostly consisted of: Doing some work on the self paced summer class, doing my chores, and then playing a whole lot of noita. I worked a tad bit on one turret, but it was more of planning stuff. Im going to be recoding how things like ore work. and also going to make it so it can actually generate ore positions without spawning ores at the same time. thats one of the issues with my old code that im fixing in the recode, it has a lot of do-it-at-the-same-time-all-at-once chunks, where functions that DO make sense happening together are FORCED to happen together. Doesnt help that the few times it isnt forced, its based on the name of the root node of the scene... which is really bad godot practice by the way. not good at all. and now that im cooler and smarter and more handsome (not really) i know that i can use exports to easily make scene-specific code changes in godot!!! but yeah most of my day was spent on noita lol. i also got boba. not the best boba in town since theres... well... a better place, but the place i went to was the closest one to the resturant my family went to for dinner. Fun fact: its the same one i mentioned a handful of posts ago (day 146).

I added the following slash commands: - /blob-about: This command basically gives the uptime of the bot and a few info. I also replaced the @ping responses with an ai chatbot using the HackClub AI API. (ChatGPT helped me a bit because i couldn't figure out how to add a history to the chat) > Note: The AI chatbot feature may be removed in the future. And also the responses are a bit slow. I also updated the /blob-help command with these new commands and I added a pfp to the bot. ## What will I add? Day 160 / 365 A few important things for me today. For starters: Deltarune chapter 5 release date got announced, so i cant wait for that. My game router rebellion finally got fully approved for horizons (after 30 days including the reship), so now im comfortable with working on it again. I wasnt comfortable before because it felt like i needed to reship because i added new content since my first ship when i was talking with the reviewer. and to be frank i dont really blame horizons or really anyone involved. hack club seems very busy right now, and last i remember fraud squad (or is it called fraud department? lowkey i dont remember) was going through some stuff or smth i dont pay enough attention. In one turret, im working towards getting the drill building to work. but first i need ores. and to get ores i need maps. and im going to be recoding how maps work. Previously, maps were stored in zips. like it would just dump the images there. But im going to be switching to godot resources as they are more scalable and just easier to work with all around. it will shorten my scripts by a whole bunch. im still slightly on the fence about it, because one of the benifits of the zip is that you can disect maps. maybe i can make a special button somewhere that allows you to export a map as a zip? one way, of course. im not going to add a zip -> resource, that removes the whole point of switching in the first place imo. also played a whole bunch of noita. I got a quality of life mod that allows you to keep track better of where you have been, so now i can properly clear the floors and get all the collectibles without going in circles (cuz going in circles causes you to get attacked by enemies which means you need to beeline to the holy temple to heal which sorta locks you out of that floor until you get to floor 3 in which you can backtrack, which at that point there really isnt anything valuable on the earlier floors). Also tried making some cookies but there was too much dough in the pan so it came out as a large tablet of cookie. the inner parts were still raw though so i took off the edges then rebaked the center... for some reason whenever i try to use this specific type of only-add-egg-and-butter batter it always ends up being a clumpy mess instead of... cookies. the image is the inner portion after i rebaked it.

Day 159 / 365 I really wanted to like lock in today but most of that locking in came in the form of working on the self-paced chemistry class im taking over the summer. I finished the midterm. And other then that, I helped my family with some stuff (like picking up the dogs from the groomers) and also playing a lot of noita. I was having a really good run right, i had a wand for teleporting, a good destruction wand, and a near-one-shot wand in the form of lightning bolt. My run ended when i found this one perk in the holy temple. The one called "Electricity Immunity". It makes you immune to electricity. Knowing this, I tried blasting some lightning near me to see if i took any damage. I then proceeded to get one shot and my whole run ended :heavysob: i suck at this game and that was my first run that actually resembled a good run!!!! so yeah turns out lightning bolt also does explosion damage... And also my ceiling plush finally arrived!!! for those not in the know, there was a ysws called ceiling that gave this specific seal plushie!!!11 :D so cute

Day 158 / 365 Today was fun, since I went to the movies. But not for any normal movie, no, i watched The Amazing digital circus final episode premiere :D i like the episode it was good. im not going to spoil it dont worry. but it was like really cool since it was the first time ive: 1. driven that far alone, 2. gone to the movies alone. Very interesting. And i also went to dennys after :D and then once i got home i uh. played a lot of noita, and coded a bit on one turret, just for half of it to be conflicting with a version i forgot to commit on the upstairs studio pc when i was watching the dogs last time up there. oh well. in particular, im working on getting it so the tileset is FULLY procedural in the one turret recode. its functionally the same as modding. I think its a good way to approach designing a game, to make it as if your modding the game. A game i used to mod a bit, called dysnced, had a similar mentality. like. the vanilla gameplay WAS a mod. you could disable it if you wanted to. idk. i like good design like that.

Day 157 / 365 Cant say particularly was my day. I woke up at 3 in the morning from a stomach ache (ate too much sugar yesterday), but my go to whenever that happens is just using the restroom, drinking water, then eating cheese for some reason. then i went to bed and woke up relatively fine!!! Then i woke up at 6 for some reason (i think its cuz my brother and mom left for his swim thing). took a shower. went back to sleep again. and then after that whole mess i woke up at 12, and like an hour after I woke up i had to drive me, my dad, my brother, and my brother's friend to the mall. It was fun i guess. We didnt buy anything lol. Except some boba, so i guess that was good! idk a lot of guessing here.... Anywhom, we got lunch, dropped off the friend, and then went home. Then i proceeded to be fairly unproductive. Not even playing games, just watching youtube. I got to a point where i just sorta like forced myself to work on the study app for horizons. So i got a hour in on that, making it so you can now go backwards in the ui (like back to the main screen) and allowing you to edit the bindings on a quiz. So uh yeah. I tried to buy my ceiling plush from the ceiling ysws, and had a jumpscare when after i bought it, the actual amount on the grant didnt go down, but my bank account didnt go down either. Turns out amazon only asks for the money right before it gets shipped?? idk. hopefully im right on that. I also tried to buy a movie ticket using my grant from haxmas, but since it wasnt enough i had to turn it into a reimbursement... And i literally couldnt use the reimbursement on hcb since it kept leading to a "page not found" page when i hit submit. So I emailed the hcb email and in the email i had mailed them about the issue. so that was a fun chaotic experience, but all the things today made me feel pretty down. On days when i feel down from stuff like this, I get in my head a lot, but heres my advice in the case YOU are in your head right now for whatever reason: Do Not Falter To Adversity, Because Faltering To Adversity Will Make You Give Up and Giving Up Causes More Adversity Than You Started With

Day 156 / 365 Today I attended a cyber security conference held at the local community college with my dad. I would say it was fairly fun, though a bit boring at the start. I was there for most of my day, having to leave a bit after i woke up and then stayed at the conference till a bit after dinner. While we were there, me and my dad listened through some talks (i mean its a conference what else do you expect). I lowkey didnt really pick up much, only thing i took home is: "Dont leave auto-update on for extensions and packages" and "Ai today should not be used for the final product, but rather the rapid testing phase". But after the talks, me and my dad skipped the rest of the talks to do the capture the flag thing they were doing there. We made a pretty good team i feel. I did a lot of the forensics and cryptography ones, and my dad did some of the "ai category" stuff they had. The organizers used an IRC to setup a handful of chatbots you needed to interact with to get the flags, like lying to an ai chess bot to win since it cant remember the board. idk. thought that was neat. we got 5th place (pretty good given there were a handful of hard code cyber security peeps there) they had some food there, but after the conference me and my dad had some dinner out of the house. And I also got some really nice dessert at a bakery. I got a salted caramel, white chocolate, cookie sandwich. but we in the industry call it diabetes in a circle. it was really sweet. once i got home i was pretty tired so i just chilled for the rest of the night. so no coding. also with the image today, i wonder how it plays into the greater kaplin86 narrative (there isnt one btw dont worry)

Day 155 / 365 hi silly scrapbookers and scrapbookers who choose to not be silly, kaplin here. Today was fairly productive. I worked on the recode for my game One Turret, and solved a massive problem with the new odd-shape-building support. The issue was that rendering would always use the bottom left tile as a pivot, which would become an issue because lets say you have an L shaped building, and you rotate that 180 degrees. now theres no left corner, so where would the tile be rendered from. So my solution was having it where inside the tile definition json, you define where the "root" of the tile is. Now, rather than rotations being done (and then being offset to be in the same place), it now rotates around your mouse cursor, the tile at your mouse cursor being the root. The texture is also placed at that root, since that root would always exist. I got offsets and such working, which also handles the rotations perfectly. So now not-rectangular buildings work on One Turret yeaaay!!! Outside of that mess, I worked a tad bit on my club ysws site. I WANT to dedicate tommorow to it, but i have some important thing tommorow morning so i lowkey dont know how i will feel after on an unrelated note, today i had like 4 instances where i randomly remembered dreams i had in the past? and not like a oh-hey-i-remember-that type of way, more like a dejavu way where i only remembered it for like a second

Day 154 / 365 Today I started work on my club ysws site aint that cool. yippee! i lowkey didnt get a lot of progress on it since it was lowkey late. in the morning i was doing a mix of sleeping in and working on the jobs+ minecraft modded datapack thingamajig for the group server project i yapped about many posts ago (still happening, we are actually getting close to opening the server i think hopefully idk). I cant say too much about today lol. uh. dont do illegal things. thats my advice of the day 😇

Day 153 / 365 Today was good but... strange. I dont know where all my time went lowkey. Like. I remember sitting at my computer a most of the day like usual, but I dont remember what i really did. I worked on one turret though. I got constructor building working (in specific the "combiner" tile behavior), and even tried a little experiment with a 3-item-combination in a new tile. Previously, it would have been a nightmare to add, but now with the recode its just a simple change in like one json value. I had a call with jared (hack club club operations lead) that went realy good and now I know all i gotta do for my ysws >:) so i will probably be doing that tommorow :) but im going to be real i think the reason i dont remember doing much is due to my issue with like anticipated times. like i will specifically hold off from doing something if i know theres a time where i need to step away from whatever im doing. so i end up just watching youtube until the thing in question happens.

finally soildered my macropad I got months ago

giving LLMs a "visual Brain" via a 4d Physics Sandbox llms struggle with spatial geometry because they process text tokens, not dimensions. I am building a physical sandbox framework to act as an external visual cognitive engine for AI. how the loop works: • Code Gen: LLM generates logic to spin up a 4D cloud workspace (3D + time). • Offloading: Heavy orbital mechanics and structural math offload to my custom GPGPU physics engine. • Self-Correction: Live telemetry logs from simulation failures pipe back to the LLM to auto-patch its code. Update: Prototype Done, Moving to Realism! The agentic loop prototype works. Now, I am building the first 4 planets of the solar system using: • NASA Maps: Real elevation data in a Three.js frontend. • Atmospheric Clouds: Custom GLSL shaders for dynamic layers. • Newtonian Orbitals: A multi-body backend gravity matrix. Today I cleaned up the structure of my code and I implemented 2 new features. One is a whitelist for slack ids (currently stored in ENV but i will be making a command later) and the other is an echo command that does exactly as it says when a whitelisted user runs the command.

Side project: I'm about to do a 5 hour timelapse of the tide. The towel is holding the gimbal down because it is windy now. The gimbal is going to do a slow left to right sweep over the course of the 5 hours. I also have cables to keep the gimbal and phone charged

Day 152/365: (more of a general update than a daily post) Updates from last post: • 80 days without an update is kinda crazy... • In Europe now for summer vacation. Was in Sweden for a week, now going to be in Greece for the next month. • The Macroepad has been fully soldered, but I wasn't able to get the firmware working. As I didn't bring the Macroepad to Europe, I won't be able to work on that until I'm back home in August. The case also ended up being badly measured and the Macroepad doesn't quite fit, but I can fix that just by cutting off the top ledge over the hole for the USB-C cable (shown in picture) • Haven't worked on the rp2040 project in ages. I think I'll still finish it eventually if just for the practice with pcb design, but it's a low priority as of now. • Have a new laptop now! It's my first device running Linux (Ubuntu), and I'm definitely liking the OS so far, though I haven't learned how to do much on it yet. • Fully caught up with JJBA anime, it may have peaked in part 2, but the rest was still great. I'm not going to read the manga until Steel Ball Run finishes airing. Goals for June: • Make a game for snake ysws. • PLAY SILKSONG - I haven't touched this game since January and I need to finish it so bad • Practice animating (will have to get a new drawing software since Krita does not like my stylus) • Get OpenUTAU and practice UTAU tuning • Maybe also work on general music composition, we'll see how much free time I end up having

Day 152 / 365 Today wasnt bad, but i was out of the house most of the day. I had to drive my dad to a medical appointment, and also brought me, my brother, and my dad to get haircuts. Now i feel refreshed :) Though it did hurt a bit since for some reason one of the razors caused bleeding? i dunno. even the stylist was a bit confused, since she had used that same razor before on me. oh well. she applied some stuff on it, and as of writing it no longer hurts. In the little bit i coded for one turret, I got the multi-tile tiles to work properly processing wise. So the furnace building works fully. Hopefully tommorow I can be a bit more productive lol. I have a sneaking suspicion. wink wink nudge nudge. on a side note, after dinner (which was also out of the house), i tried to get some ingredients to make some DIY ferrero rocher. Had to replace the hazlenut with pecans since they didnt have any at the store. and i didnt want to spend 15 bucks on maple syrup im going to use one time, so i replaced that with honey. so uh. wise words: Do not eat the pecan + honey + cocoa powder + vanilla mixture. tasted horrendous imo. I think it might have been the cocoa powder maybe.

Day 151 / 365 Today was a pretty simple day. I just worked on one turret recode lol. I did some totally complex math stuff to figure out tile rotating better as im starting to implement the 2x2 tiles. I probably could have just looked up what I needed lol. The main issue is that in my game, tiles will always have a root at the bottom left, so rotations arent truly around one tile, but rather the center of the building which gets a bit icky. So ultimately its just the rotate around 0,0 but offsets are applied based on tile size. I still need to add placing them, but then im nearly done (excluding the very special behaviors like the constructor / combiner and the drill which is a producer tile that has to read the map tiles). So yeah overall fairly productive in that regard. Dont have much else to say lol.

Day 150 / 365 Wow! Its like day 100, but a little bit extra. well. maybe not little bit. 50% is definently not a little bit, is it? Anyways, a good portion of my day today was spent doing hytale stuff! Im going to try learning hytale's npc system stuff for a mod idea i have. Though, a lot of my day was spent watching tutorial before trying, reading docs, and actually setting up the dev enviornment instead of actually coding. But I also am going to start working a bit on one turret now here and there. Today I fixed a bug where conveyors could lead into themselves due to a logic error inside of the new default transfer item script in the recode. Previously, if a tile had the freeinput tag inside of the json, it would take inputs from any positions. But any position included the tile it was leading into (which looks really strange). So i changed it to exclude any output tiles. On a side note, I helped my family set up the new curtains for our gazebo on our deck. maybe with it actually covering properly i might try coding out there. Maybe. I despise bugs. both coding bugs and real life bugs.

okay so i found an lg webtv app (in dutch) and looking into it its very janky but they left in... a debug console!! after a bit of finagling i got it working, for nothing to show up turns out even if i set the debug vars to true, it still wouldnt let it log anything, so i just changed the function to have it always log to the element yes, it uses green courier new as the font and font color.. eh, ive seen worse.. but it works!! kinda pointless but i like the UI and everything in it, gonna see about repurposing its CSS and images in it for a jellyfin UI mod, idk i like how it looks okay unfortunately, the UI elements are mostly all images but its nothing a bit of photoshop magic cant fix.... maybe ill log it with hackatime thatd be a good idea

Day 149 / 365 Today was... somehow more unproductive than yesterday!! >:C But it was a generally fun day even though I didnt play that many games. I worked 20 minutes on my horizons quiz game project thing, adding in some cool preview images for each of the gamemodes. I also got "deleting" datasets to work. In reality it just changes it so it hides the quiz. If you attempt to add a new quiz using the same csv, it will just toggle it back to being visible, that way all the configs for that quiz are still saved! Rest of my day was spent out of the house with my dad and brother. I dropped my brother of at swim and ended up just having a bonding moment with my dad at the closest mall. Its a generally unoccupied mall. not a lot of buisness happens there (in terms of the internal mall stuff. the clothes stores and resturants on the outside of it do get a lot of buisness though). me and my dad walked through and had a chat, even walking into a craft store. didnt buy anything but still chatted. We also got some handsoaps that we thought my mom would like :) We got two of a vanilla almond one. One for me. Because I liked it. :yay: i love vanilla smelling things. and cinnamon! anyways after that me, my brother, and my dad went to applebees. im mentioning this because thats like a once-in-a-blue-moon-during-a-solar-eclipse thing and its lowkenuinly been like 3 years. when we got home it turns out my mom had recently gotten hand soaps. so now we just have 15 things of hand soap. please help. 5 hand soaps per sink including the kitchen😭 and on my horizons stuff. I think ive ultimately come to the conclusion that im NOT going to be going to nexus for various reasons. One of the reasons is the hours required. Especially given hackclub stardance is happening soon. I plan to be starting a thing with my club to get them into stardance so they can make some stuff. Also that club ysws, and other stuff. Im going to be getting a lot busier soon so im less confident in getting the hours. other reason is I dont think i really want to go anymore. Dont get me wrong it sounds fun but like. is it really worth all the hours? I mean I definently think I had great memories at hackclub shiba, but that was a whole week. nexus, last i checked, is a nonstop hackathon over a weekend. So yeah uh. i think im going to cash my hours and possibly move my study app to a different program (i hear macondo has a lot of good prize options). If i were to ship my moved aces project as is, i would most likely get 2 steam game grants (for publishing a game on steam) and 4 blahaj plushies :)

Day 148 / 365 Today was the exact opposite of yesterday. I slept in and got barely anything done. I did record a hytale video and edited it. but thats it. as of writing i havent finished it yet but im nearly done editing it. I had a few other things I wanted to get done today but eh. might try waking up early again tommorow and locking in. Small thing that happened is that the left arm rest thing for my chair broke (the screw snapped in half) so I "engineered" a new one. Two attempts, one better one worse. The successful one, i just reused a sponge and taped it to the chair-arm-stub. Hopefully my mom can find the warranty paper lol.
