DAY 26/:50days:: • Just did 5hr long cpp programing test thingamajig my brain is cooked (vector<vector<vector<int>>> connections(node_count); gonna haunt my dreams :ok-cry:) • Made npcs wander.. as well planed out a bit more here have the crazy dev note i wrote in #C09JDFGQ88N| :xxdd:

Now after they got nothing to do they will wander around just for funnies :DD
(as i am making this game to have unique levels each time i will make this be semi random [big random number pool, like doom does it ;DD])
Next up -&gt; make em speak/ exchange info and remember where was something or someone so they can pass down this info :))

Day 25/50 Erm, I actually haven't updated in 20 million years :im-sobbing: (procrastination) BUT I have done quite a bit since then, working on making a couple games 🙂 TLDR; • Worked on game for band concert background video • Worked on developing idea for my game jam entry Specifically today, I've been working on a game that I wanted to show for background graphics for my band class's upcoming concert. This game is for the piece "Pixels" by Randall Standridge. I mainly worked on adjusting player physics and player inputs for the boss fight arena to correlate with the level 3 section in the piece of music. It took me SOO long just to fix it but I finally got it. I also started working on planning the idea for my Girls Got Game game jam entry. My original idea was WAY too complicated for me to do within the time span of the game, so I came up with a more simpler idea that I could execute within Ren'py as a sort of visual novel.

day 23 update! started work on skyrise bureau for ipados and ios! nothing much other then these 2 views i’ve redone internally they’re the same, so i’ll be using that to my advantage to sync the games across icloud! i know that means dealing with sync conflicts, but tbf to make this game harder im gonna just grab the version that is stored later

oops missed day 21 anyways day 22 update!! we got v1.1 out (i know very quick) for my game! i also just started developement on the iPad version of it! it’s gonna be built from roughly the same designs, but it will have a more touch-screen friendly design

day 20: missed a lot but Just finished my first game ever, Skyrise Bureau! [23/50] today i did: • worked on @Winterflows-U0A025PMWCX ! now with even more actions and fixed some bugs related to the modal feature and some triggers! also worked on a very wip replacement to my private channel joiner • played a bit of :omori2: for the first time, pretty 🔥 game

:50days: day #20: • While I didn’t do any work on my personal site today, I did finalize some artwork that I made for a game made by @/SwiftDust (mart)! • I did some more crochet • and I will be doing some more reading of Project Hail Mary before bed!

Day 19/50 • Showcased Milkyway Pets in a huddle! I was really nervous so congrats to everybody else who participated in either showcase :blahaj-heart: It's so inspiring seeing everybody else's projects and just makes me more motivated :D • Worked a bit on my personal website. I don't think I'm gonna finish it by the dealine for #C09JQE8P8EA| but I'm fine with that. • Played piano for a bit, cleaned my room, backed up some files to a 2TB HDD I got from SoM Screenshot is from the huddle, the game is 21st Century Love Story by Kaylee and Athena.

:50days: Day 18 of 50, I: • woke up kind of early but then went back to sleep because I originally went to sleep on a sofa then went to sleep upstairs on my actual bed :sleeping_accommodation: • worked on my high school application that just happens to have the same types of questions as @:jollyroger182:'s COLLEGE application :job-application: • went to visit someone's house for 5 hours, where I played 10 rounds of rummy and won the overall game (winning 3 rounds) :aces: • didn't have time (or really a need) to code since I already have more than 10 hours in siege (see below) :siege: • got 0 contributions on GitHub :githubparrot: • reached a Duolingo streak of 814 days :duo-knife:

Finally added SSAO to my OpenGL renderer! (which was the whole point of setting up a deferred renderer). It's a subtle effect, but it definitely improves the depth perception of the scene and now runs acceptably fast.

50 days challenge ❄️ Daily updates 14-15 | Streak: 2+ weeks! I'm gonna now start bulleting things that I've done :3 - Scheduled shipments of prizes to people who attended a game jam I hosted a while back - Packed food for a potluck happening in AP Bio tomorrow - Finished 8 Khan Academy modules for AP Stats - Did a batch of problems on integration by substitution for Calculus - Send out announcements and tasks for people in an internship I help organize, they're making an oral presentation + slides for my side research project - Finished an AP Economics worksheet + AP biology practice problem set - Dropped out of some commitments (a public relations + marketing position at a small company) because I have too much on my plate and need to straighten out my priorities - Got a bunch of planning done for college apps + other stuff and the last chemistry lab at my university for the year!

finally getting back on track after recovering from my great illness, finally getting that 50-days posts back up and running as well as hackatime progress and blueprint work. the only project I've made any progress these past 2 weeks was my game for dummies, I got enemy AIs and pickups! i intent to add my own art later as well as mechanics but this works for now.... also I spent wayyyy too much time on slack during the great overtime in lounge, helped make a pancake, and enjoyed the raw chaos of the IRC chat which is still active considering theres only like 70 people on the slack right now

Day 10/:50days:! I'm still feeling sick, but it's getting better and I think it'll be gone by Monday. I set pretty low expectations for myself today, but I did more than I thought I would so that feels good. • I wrote an about me page for my new personal website! I lowkey dread writing but once I got in the flow it was pretty fun! • I went through a past reading paper for Japanese. To get the the most points you basically need to be understanding everything and including it in your answer + analysing the implications or subtext. I can translate the text easily, but it's that deeper understanding and being able to use that information to answer the questions that I find harder. I don't think this counts as study, but I watched the film Happyend with subtitles and really enjoyed it. • Did practice tests for my licence exam - I'm feeling more and more confident that I'll be able to pass :) • Did a little work on my game.

Day 7 1. Relaxed, had a massive sleep in after the exam 2. Started studying for RE scholarship, the topic is inclusivity in the Catholic Church so today I went over LGBTQ+ in the catholic church and some catechism stuff etc to get proper quotes and sources. 3. Did some work for #C08HX0F11BP| 4. Played a game 5. Went sailing for a few hours 6. Had a meeting with Tristan who is a uni student about KiwiHacks, he’s helping with marketing and a few connection things too! 7. Study for computer science - methods of encryption Relatively productive day!

Day 8 outta :50days:! Great googly moogly! • Fixed a bug in Milkyway Pets where tray menu entries weren't being removed when clicked. Worked a bit on my other game, Burning Rain. • Read ~30 pages of the comic 俺物語. I had to look up a lot of vocab, but I could get the general jist of a lot of sentences. • Did some practice tests for my licence exam. It turns out that there are new questions being introduced next month, so I'll probably sit the test after my Japanese exam next week. That'll be the first goal ticked off my list! • Made a post about my YSWS idea, If you have any thoughts or feedback on the concept let me know!

day seven! this day was actually wild: • coded for 2.7 Hackatime hrs on the game (it might not seem like much, but considering I had training and school from 8:15AM to 3:45PM that's pretty crazy) • pretty cool training, getting ready for a race this saturday got a lot of progress on my game (which I'm doing together with @KittyCat -- she's doing the art and maybe some coding as well)

nothing much today, just felt a lot more tired (slept at 2 again 😛 ) clouds look like apple intelligence spent an hour of vgd fixing a single checkbox to get my score timer to work in godot, now it does ! hopefully i can modify the game tmrw 🤞 also, i told my parents about hc, and my pcb is arriving tmrw 🙂 soldering iron by next week hopefully

DAY 8/:50days:: • Chilled out and hanged out with friends most day part :DD • Played noita + some funny jack in a box game :DD • Started learning about CTF ◦ Today bit of steganography • As well coded on godot for bit ;)) ◦ added some scene lights ◦ added ability to uneqiup And in general had fun :yayayayayay:

LEARNING GODOT!!! skillsusa is in 2 months, gotta make a video game, don’t know how to code, thank you godot for having excellent documentation and starter guide, i made a video game!!!, i can move a character!!! i feel awake for the first time in weeks :)) probably bcs im getting like 6-7 hours of sleep school is chill, friends are amazing, supportive, and cure my depression gotta lock in for homework, but i’d rather doomscroll ahh im getting my thoughts out yt shorts is very addicting

:50days: Day 7/50 I've discovered the .warc file format and I'm now using it to archive thevalleyofcode (see day 6). I've made a small python script to archive a whole website with a whitelist so I don't escape to google.com and scrap the internet :skulk: I've also read a small paper on FastWARC (python library for archiving) but I won't count it for my 50 days goals as it's only one page

day six already! time flies when you're having fun ig today: • more progress towards working game, specifically I got the asteroids bouncing now and actually getting removed when they collide • new project 👀 hackclub.slack.com/archives/C08KQ9DUJUX/p1763410857979709 go check it out @ #C09T243J8F9|! • wanted to code more, then realized i got training tomorrow and first race of the season saturday so decided to sleep @ 10:20PM (still late :heavysob:)

DAY 7/:50days:: • Hard reseted and reinstalled everything on my pc and HOLY SHIT 150GUGS OF SPACE, feels great after living w 10-3gigs for past 1 year :ok-cry: • Played dbd • Installed tailscale on rpi4 and got it to host static website across internet :yayayayayay: • Debugged backing up clean windows copy for 3hrs, it always ends at 97.. im telling you this is rigged and at the end decided to end it and not to backup :why: • Also close to 60 members in #C09BE8QF1V5| :DD • Coded my next game MUT4ARR as well planed out features bit better :DD • Got kali on wsl set up and this night gonna try some ctf.. hopefully :yayayayayay: (honestly so much, as well cracked some wood :xxdd:)

day 7 of 50 days till 2026 I finished my c++ assignment for the week and made a battleship game! I had been procrastinating on this for a bit because the object file we are required to use as an api is built exclusively for x86_64 and we have no access to compiling it ourselves so I couldn't work on it on my mac. I realized I could just clone my repo to my server and do the assignment over ssh and ended up doing that today.

day fiveeee made amazing asteroids for my game they should go away if they touch the ground but that's not the case because I couldn't figure that out and now imma eep because school tomorrow. tomorrow we will fix this shit :3

its-a-me, day 5 of :50days: • (Not an Incremental) Added a new "Action" class with a bunch of inherited objects that you add under nodes that need them and they run specific code like obtaining some stat or purchasing something! Might merge this with the upgrade system somehow • (Not an Incremental) Added a new platform to test it. Also, made a Platform class that listens to the signal bus (added that as well) for a sign that the platform was purchased • (Not an Incremental) Basically a bunch of infra for the game. And now I'm stuck with the looming horror of designing the actual game :noooovanish: On another note: • Gym today, push day raaah • stopped listening to white noise and started listening to the alan becker lofi livestream • today was much more productive, maybe tomorrow I can actually go back to doing my regular 5hrs/day? not yet 10/day tho can't post video cause too lazy to open OBS or download a clip thingy so here's a pic of after the purchase

oops! it's already day three for me anyways: i've done a lot of things. mentally it wasn't going too well with me the last few days, slowly going better. also slowly picking up programming again, did like 1.3 hrs and some reading! today I: • added a FSM (finite state machine) for my player in my game • made a Reddit post about my website (I need 100 upvotes for #C09L1BDSC68|, pls upvote @ www.reddit.com/r/astrojs/comments/1ox9a8h/showoff_made_my_first_complete_website_feedback) • learned for my last test in the test week! • worked at the supermarket :P > maintain good grades i got a pretty good grade for maths! 8.4/10, not bad right! also last few days i still read a bit about godot and learned for physics and a few other subjects lol here's a nice picture of today:

:50days: *day 3/50* still sick, but I did manage to add K.K. Slider songs to tanuki! you can now select the "k.k. slider" game, and you'll get a new button allowing you to skip a song. there's also a new "random" option which shuffles through tracks from every game!
