hihi! i made my own ssh client in rust! (partially while in a huddle with @oodlia ju)! i implemented all the crypto math myself (i did not just import some off the shelf ssh library). this is pretty much the first rust project i have made. it was kinda hard because when you get the math wrong you don't get a friendly "hey you got this math wrong" and the compiler/debugger doesnt help, you just get a "connection closed" from the server and that could mean anything what do you think?

Day 123 / 365 Today is day 1 2 3!!! easy as a b c!!! yaaaaaay!!! anyways todya was a bit less amazing than yesterday but still pretty good. I got my horizons game to properly show the factory builder ui while in the player view. It even pauses all the physics and movement and enemy stuff too. I made a test zone using a grid map and made some test enemies. The bullets are synced to the factory :) Shipped my first demo for horizons!! Lowkey a tad bit worried since I have 9 hours tracked, but playing the game, it doesnt FEEL like 9 hours were spent. last thing I want is being suspected for fraud :c A demo link can be found in my personal slack channel, since I dont want the whole world to see this one just yet lol

Day 2 (119/365): • woke up early, did some exercise (push-ups still feel really hard lowkey) • built my first slack bot using bolt in py, basically auto updates the date for #C0A63BZ2AQN, docs were kinda confusing but I managed to figure it out(took my morning) • realized I need hosting for it and found Hack Club Nest which might solve it, will deploy tmrw • worked on face-to-anime project but it’s way harder than I thought, so I shifted into learning C to work with opengl and get some low level taste(will do c++ and assembly as well) • watched this video about how computers actually work and it honestly blew my mind as how simple it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZwneRb-zqA • had focus issues because of Minecraft Bedwars distractions for too many days, so I decided to stop playing it for a month, if i do, i wont code neither use computer for a week and just study • didn’t finish the chapter today but will tomorrow • planning to start this book from tomorrow as i wanna know how computer actually works: Enjoy: 2/5 Productivity: 1/5 Study: No Coding: Yes(2hr 21m) So no game this time fr. Day 100 / 365 It is day 100! 27% into the year. Lets do a slight recap! Major things i did: • Made most of my aces game • Bought hytale and got into modding immediately • Made a small roblox game with friends • Finally published one turret on steam • Attending a hackathon (hackclub campfire) • Made a game for ceiling seal ysws • Made a project ysws (which i was going to host tommorow but all my club members said they are out of town) Things that I still have left to do from my original list in the slack thread: • Get One Turret "Polish Update" out • Host a hackclub ysws (I mean a full scale online one) • Learn and do a bit more about hardware • Make a library/tool/extension to/for something Anyways for my actual day today. I went to court. Not for anything bad lol, I had to go to court to get my full drivers license! yippee! But actually it was kinda cool since we have always drove by the big courthouse frequently ever since i was a little kaplin86 and i finally got to see the inside!

Day 24(or 3): Did a bunch of work on the installer for my CVE-Slack bot. Shipped the project. It also got approved and into voting in like 3 minutes lol, not sure how that happened. Downloaded a potentially malicious exe. Played a bunch of games. Thats about it for today. Wasn't productive enough. Turns out installers for programs are hard.

:50days: day 50 I am writing this at 12:21 AM, January 1st, 2026, which technically means that I missed my update for today, but who cares? Today, after not getting a lot of sleep, I mostly prepared all of my goodbyes and tried to tie up loose ends. Spent much too long drafting my holy yapparonie for #C0818RRJGDA|, dropped a fragment for an ARG (:eyes_shaking:), and dmed a few people that I still have stuff to finish up with. you know, this is my own challenge and i've only achieved 2/8 of my goals. I didn't ship Fireside, learn Rust, or finish #C09MJJV82QY|. I missed 3 days. many of my updates were nothing burgers. but maybe that's not what really mattered. maybe what did matter was coming back (mostly) every single day, trying my absolute hardest to make these 50 days count. and I think I succeeded. I made two projects that made people smile, I solved a bunch of AoC puzzles, I learned about code organization in Godot, and I kinda understand Rust now? I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. Maybe this under-13 fiasco is just an elaborate prank. Maybe they're going to give me a few extra days here. As I write this, I'm still living in the world where my Slack account is active. I have no clue what's going to happen next - tomorrow, over these 3 months, over the next 3 years. But I'm grateful I got to hack and build during these 50 days alongside all of you. catch you on the flip side <3 (also, yes, hand reveal :shocked:)

day 34 of 50 days to 2026! I had so much happening today. I ended up having meetings from 4 till 10 which was fun. I attended an AMA with Quinn Slack which was insanely cool and I also did quite a few OYAC meetings and got to meet the other leaders from across the country and hear about some of the frontline advocacy work which was amazing and really encouraging. Independently I also worked on an interesting little project showcased below which I will be sharing more about soon as well as some more mc hacking with one of my friends. Oh and I also made a keychain in onshape for haxmas. Hopefully I can ship my semi secret project tomorrow and make a nice showcase video :)

:50days: Day 32/50 I have automated the 50 days post on starblog to update the progress bar based on days until 2026. After that I submitted it to midnight I continued to work on my archiving tool and will make it public soon (i think) I started to make keyshield because when I shared a message from david-leeker to #C06089401GT| it exploded my monthly limits for apiflash :hdheavysob:. Keyshield is a reverse proxy between an API (i.e. apiflash) and your frontend (i.e. Slack) for hiding your API keys and add a caching layer (because apiflash store the apikey in the url parameters :skull_skeleton: ) I think I'll spend the 7 hours left for Midnight on this

oh my god im so tired but look, i made my first slack bot! the name is KittenBot! it can show you cat facts, gifs, pictures and you can chat with an AI which has a cat personality! this slack bot is for Meow YSWS so that's why I made it cat themed! repo: github.com/Snowflake6413/kittenbot image below shows an example of the AI in action! :aga:
