:50days: Day 29/50 I'm so proud of my AoC solution omagad, i learned about z3 for solving theorem and it run in ~1.7s (for both parts :yayayayayay:) but it's worst with pypy :3cnukebutreal: It gave me the 3rd place on #C01GF9987SL| leaderboards (based on stars cuz I'm on Europe/Paris so I have 10+ hours on everything :sad-pf: ) I need to finish my website for #C09JQE8P8EA| (starblog) :noo: and I need to write a blogpost about 50days on it. I have 3 days left :(( I did a whole excel spreadsheets just for a math test so I'm sure i'll get all the points

:50days: Day 28/50 Today's AoC may be the slowest I've ever done... with part 1 only takes 8ms takes up to 20s :skulk: (depending on if I use pypy or python) I installed pypy on my laptop but it's kinda weird cuz sometimes it's faster (part 1) sometimes it's not (part 2) probably because i'm using a library for polygons of part 2 and not on part 1 :shrug3d: I've also started to read an scientific article

:50days: day 28!!! UBEATABLE RELEASED TODAY!!! FINISHED EPISODE ONE AND IT IS SO PEAK JFJFJDJSKFKDNCJR also did hw + some more planning on the secret project. since scrapbook needs an image here's a random meme from my camera roll

day 28 of 50 days to 2026!!! I got to do a long study sesh with a few friends focusing on Calc and C++ which was fun. One of my friends ended up writing out a hilarious short story prompt for a program that we wrote to test all of our concepts. I also released bore today with a youtube video for it! It is a super fancy reverse proxy tunnel manager like ngrok but running entirely on my own infra! It is based around the open source frp software which is great on its own but a bit annoying to use in the oneshot command type way I was used to with ngrok. I wrapped the client cli in a nice gum interface and used nix to package it with a super fancy man page and shell completions! Bore also has a really cool dashboard at bore.dunkirk.sh which shows active tunnels and how much data has been transferred along them as well as a few other stats. It also has a really fancy 404 page which I'm quite proud of. Also working on my shell config I setup zmx which is a light weight tmux alternative that just keeps persistant sessions. It works quite well for my needs and I also set up ssh pooling so connections are next to instant now! I also did a bit of work on crush adding support for refreshing api keys whenever encountering 401 errors. days 26 and 27 of 50 days to 2026 Yesterday was a long day of work so I was sadly not able to get much done beyond AoC but I did get a nice visualization done for day 6 as well as a visualization contributed by one of my friends jasper which looks amazing! Over the last couple of days I've been refining a script to take incoming college emails which are mostly spam and filter out just the important ones. *day 27 already!* forgor posting again for a while, did AoC but it turned out to be very hard :pf: thus I started on something new and fun: my personal website! as of today I have a PoC with the homepage, finally after having the wish of building one for atleast half a year now!

:50days: Day 27/50 I fixed david-leeker cuz it wasn't saving it to a db so I was receiving messages every hours about new sites :hdheavysob: AoC 2025/08 was pure hell, i spent like 1/2 hours just on the first part (spoiler-warning) I ended up using a disjoint-set-union and it was kinda overkilled but atleast I learned something and claimed those 2 stars

:50days: day 27!! new keyboard switches arrived today! took the opportunity to disassemble [glyph], clean it out, and apply some mods (foam + tape!). also spent far too long fighting with QMK, but ~~Claude~~ I eventually figured out how to fix the joysticks! the keyboard sounds super nice now :D tried to fix steam on my machine in preparation for unbeatable's release tomorrow (!!!) - for some reason it randomly started crashing (also gave up on AoC :hs:)

:50days: Day 26/50 I made my own @leeker cuz its channel is private AoC 2025/07 was a bit of a headache but I managed to do it pretty fast I'll try to add david-leeker (that's my leeker bot's name) the functionnality to look at hackclub/dns forks commit so I can detect things faster (crazy unemployment)

:50days: day 26!! didn't get much done today since i'm getting sick (again :hs:) but I did hop on a huddle with @Lucas11 to try and figure out scripting languages for #C08PXNRN7T4|... turns out it's easier said than done LOL after that headed to a birthday party (had some ice cream 😋), got home, and did homework. also looked into how to start AoC day 7 and a secret project :eyes_shaking:

:50days: Day 25/50 I did AoC 06, it was pretty easy I started to make an API for my smart bulb (i called it bubulb)

:50days: day 25! halfway there!! yay!! helped my IRL friend with ~~bypassing school network restrictions~~ fighting against internet censorship, and did a bunch of AoC! completely reworked my day 5 solution so that it doesn't create a dictionary with hundreds of trillions of keys :aware: did day 6 as well! i quite like my solution :3 also picked up some snowboard boots in preparation for going to my local hill next week!

day 25 of 50 days to 2026! We are officially at the half way point! It feels like time has slipped by so quickly this year. We are also halfway through AoC which I'm slightly sad about. I'll miss having my daily problem to obsess over for an hour. I was able to get some work done on the battleship arena and got error logs working! I also fixed a bunch of issues with elo ratings getting out of sync and got a bunch of new testers!

:50days: Day 23/50 & 24/50 I added blockquote to starblog to show my projects (mmh not sure if i should keep it) Also added infos about version in the footer I forgot to do it yesterday cuz I was too tired This week end i'll try to make my smart bulb remote or a remote for school

:50days: day 24 not much today - did some research on some new tools and started on my day 5 AoC solution!

Day 24 of 50 days to 2026! Today I got to compete with my battleship program and I won in my section! I also implemented a server isolation feature for my battleship-arena so that malicious uploads aren't able to do much harm. AoC was pretty fun today and I am quite happy with my solution for the day. I'm getting more and more familiar with typescript's iterator functions with each day. They are really quite fun to play with.

:50days: day 23 got home and locked in on AoC! managed to submit a better day 3 part 2 solution, and then worked on day 4! it was fun, but i did run into many strange quirks of the python language (who knew doing new_list = old_list means any changes to newlist apply to oldlist???). i did manage to solve it though, and faster than usual! spent the rest of my time on rustlings :3

[23/50] today i did: • worked on @Winterflows-U0A025PMWCX ! now with even more actions and fixed some bugs related to the modal feature and some triggers! also worked on a very wip replacement to my private channel joiner • played a bit of :omori2: for the first time, pretty 🔥 game

:50days: day 22! finally packed up the #C09676ZTG8P| stickers! hopefully I can ship them out by friday :D it'll be good to finally get this off my shoulders :hs: spent the rest of the day on AoC - part 1 was easy enough but I couldn't for the life of me get part 2 to work :( maybe if I have free time tomorrow I can try again.

[22/50] today i did: • submitted my UC application :ultrafastparrot: • worked on @Winterflows-U0A025PMWCX a bit and submitted last week’s :siege: project! adding even more steps including collecting form inputs! • tried a new time scheduling system that seems to prevent me from late nights again, let’s see if it works 🤞

:50days: day 21!! day 2 of AoC! part 1 was easy enough (but my solution took 30 seconds on a powerful desktop pc :fear:) but part 2 has me rethink my strategy. regex, of course, was the way to go. part 2 solves in ~3s on the same machine which isn't terrible but i'd like to get it lower! also did some more rustlings :rust: maybe i can solve the next puzzles in Rust?

:50days: Day 20/50 uuhh school :sad-pf: I've started AoC and setup a repo (i'll try to do them in both go and python) and added a github workflow for starblog There's also a post for 50d with a progress bar (i just need to add content)

:50days: day 20! it's monday again :( but today was day 1 of Advent of Code :aoc: after trying to find out why my pt1 solution worked with the test cases i could find but not the actual puzzle input, i cracked both puzzles fairly easily! my pt2 solution is terribly unoptimized but if it works it works also doing some more learning on vim! here's the LazyVim for Ambitious Developers book and my day 1 solution side by side

Day 20 of 50 days to 2026! I set up a n8n server today and I am in love. It is so much fun to make workflows and have them just work. Definitely a bit nicer than building myself a fully custom app for everything lol. I ended up automating my job's shift scheduling to auto import into my calendar as well as update the event if it changes duration or is deleted. I also have a fancy slack alert that lets me know when I have a shift that conflicts with something. I also have a robotics meeting today which should be fun and we are going to setup advantage scope which should hopefully give us some nicer diagnostics to work with. Oh and its the first day of AoC today! I ended up completing today last night right after it released and have a fancy repo with a nice cli to run everything over on my tangled repo! tangled.org/dunkirk.sh/aoc-2025

[20/50] yesterday i did: • college apps! worked on uc essays and finished at least a first draft for all of them • added more features to @Winterflows-U0A025PMWCX ! now it’s actually a fully functional workflows system (with like 1/5 the steps but shush). i’m really proud of it!

Day 19 of 50 days to 2026! Did some work on thistle today focusing on making the class experience a bit better. I split groups into sessions which should hopefully be a better experience that just dumping all of the lectures in one place. Did a bunch of experimenting with my keyboard as well which was fun. It's tricky to type on and I have to relearn how to touch type which is hard. Tomorrow starts advent of code!

:50days: Day 19/50 Today was probably the least productive day cuz I spent like an hour helping to make her slack plugin thingy but it wasn't working cause Electron check the asar integrity :(( I tried to make an archiver with gowarc but mmhh idk why it wouldn't work :shrug3d: BUT Frankenstein was a really good movie (letterboxd)

:50days: Day 18/50 I did a lot of things on starblog today: • Moved to Jekyll (it was Flask before) • Add css for figures and codeblocks (I use github-dark) • Add tags (with hashtags on the bottom of the page) Just after sending the message for day 17 I've watched Isle of Dogs and it's :ms-fire: Tonight, I'm watching Frankenstein (2025) I also need to make my archiver in Golang cuz I procrastined too much :/ I'll try to add a babbler on starblog cuz :3cnukebutreal: why not

:50days: day 18! did some coding-infra work today! installed the lazyvim config for neovim and set up some plugins - it's really awesome :D things like flash.nvim and telescope will make my work so much faster :yay: here's me doing rustlings with the config

days 17 and 18 of 50 days to 2026! Today was a happy day! All the parts for my split keyboard finally arrived and I got to assemble it! I somehow managed to only desolder 4 caps with my fat fingers when soldering the header pins on but thankfully after removing them completely the boards still work just fine. Yesterday and today I also did a bunch of work in my homelab migrating things over to my oracle server and just generally tidying things up. My homelab is slowly nixifying which I'm very happy about :)

:50days: Day 18/50 I'm continuing on starblog (found a name), I added posts so I can just extend from the base and write the content only. I'll add rss/atom feed after watching Isle of Dogs tonight @Scrappy-Doo can now automaticly post message from #C01504DCLVD| and #C09VC37P2NA|, I just need to make a webapi so I can use this instead the perks of it are: Filtered tags (anyone can add tags to your post) Use message shortcut (using reactions to post is weird) Not buggy that's not much but always better. it's just missing a cdn for making images publicly available

:50days: day 17!! back to working on readme! got a chapter navigation bar done :) instead of using tailwind like usual I actually wrote vanilla css, it felt weird but i kinda... liked it? there's something nice about the styles actually cascading instead of having to copy and paste class names

:50days: Day 17/50 I started to worked on my blog, I took inspiration on bearblog.dev cuz I like their frontend but unfortunatly I can't fork it/selfhost it :(( I've also added medias support to @Scrappy-Doo and a scrapbook importer with /import-scrapbook, count your days scrappy Tomorrow I think I'll did the frontend

Day 16/17 of 50 days to 2026! Wasn't able to make a post in time yesterday so rolling it into today. I've been working on getting some oracle cloud machines up and running again after loosing my main arm box about a year ago due to accidentally terminating the instance (that was a very sad day). I didn't just want to run ubuntu on these vms though but rather be able to declaratively define everything in nix with nixos. It ended up taking a ton of trial and error but I finally did it! I now have one smaller amd box and a big powerful arm box with 4 cores and 24gb of ram! I experimented with giving both vms ipv6 addresses at first but ended up running into some really weird issues where google's cdn would block go module downloads due to mis-geo locating the ip. Apparently bun also doesn't do well with ipv6 and takes forever to download packages so I ended up having to remove them sadly. I moved cachet and hn-alerts onto the bigger box and set up an uptime kuma instance on the amd box with the plan for that to be a super stable box that just servers to monitor all of my other services. I'm considering installing wazuh on it as well and getting some interesting logs.

:50days: Day 16/50 I worked on my @Scrappy-Doo (my scrapbook remake) for 3h45min today! :50days: Day 14 & 15/50 I've finally fixed onedrive-proxy, now, each times it try to use the azure sdk it will verify if its token is valid and refresh it if needed (check files.mathiasd.fr/books 👀) I also setup up Halloy to connect to the IRC and wow irc is so cool when you know it, we should fully move to it /j I did a presentation at school about IP and IP protocol, it was cool but we had someone useless in our group (he couldn't even login). I read the 2nd chapter of Refactoring English which is great too! and i've secretly uploaded some IT resources from school's public drive to my 1drv :3c

Day 15 of 50 days to 2026! We are back on slack!!! It's been a rollercoaster and stuff broke but we now have enterprize! IRC was a super fun experience that I hope we continue using which leads me to my project for the day! Since I had a fair bit of free time this afternoon I mostly just chatted with my friends on IRC but then got inspired to make a little LLM bot to play with! It actually worked shockingly well just hooking it up really simply but I improved it a bunch to have conversation history and to be able to jump into conversations when it felt like it. I nicknamed the bot tacy and gave it the personality of a sassy and slightly eccentric dino :) My other project for the day was making a slack <> irc bridge! This ended up being super fun and there are still improvements to be made but all the basics work! You can link your username on slack to your nick on irc and when you send a message on irc it will display it with your profile picture on slack along with your name! For users that aren't linked they are assigned a random colored profile picture that is very similar to rainbow highlighting on irc clients. Images and files work as they are uploaded to the hackclub cdn and then shared as a link which many irc clients like halloy auto expand (this also works from the irc side to slack where it is rendered as an embed)! Formatting also works both ways and I created a custom slack mrkdwn parser to handle it! If you want to try it in slack then use /irc-bridge-user to link your user to irc nick and /irc-bridge-channel to start syncing a channel. The respective unbridge version of those commands will unlink the two and there is a /irc-bridge-list command as well. You can try the sync in #C064DNF64LU| or #C09V3DYD4QK|
