Day 29: • More bugfixing on Milkyway Pets. I need to be testing builds via WINE or my vm because otherwise stuff keeps breaking in production which is not a good look. Worked on Burning Rain in a huddle. • Got one :aoc: from day 6. It's not much but it was fun • Made some drawings for my website! • I downloaded the demo for UNBREAKABLE after Hex4 linked it and wow. I only played for like half an hour, but it felt like style was being injected directly into my veins. That's the level of cool I aspire to have in my games one day. Thinking a lot about the interactions between setting/aesthetics and story. • Also found the phone that I've been missing for most of the year. Turns out my mum put it in the back of a drawer and forgot about it :skulk: There's a few 2FA things it'll be nice to get back, but I don't really have a use for it now (especially as it's missing a power button)

day 27:50days:: • the crystals are so pretty! can't wait to see the alum crystal tomorrow:heartarrow-blue: • I finished escape room 1... and I'm kind of sad. I feel relieved that it's 'over', but at the same time as if I've abandoned a part of me...:yay-mimi: • ALMOST 100 HOURS LET'S GO! I joined sometime around 3 months ago so that would be I coded around 1 hr a day(def not the case, but it makes me happy to think this) • long day at school tmr(8:30-5pm) :P

day 26:50days: • made a supersaturated solution for growing alum and copper sulphate crystals today, the copper had a really pretty deep blue color but I couldn't get the beauty on camera 😕 • Obsessed with Moon in one's cup's nostalgic feeling. That one rising arpeggios made me think of another song(golden hour) and my brain is still tingling very much • milkyway

:50days: day #C097G4WJ55Z|: • I finally got around to watermarking all of my photos for the photography section on my personal site! • I crocheted more octopi • I will be doing more reading before bed! (I think my day count was off bc scrappy keeps deleting my messages every once in a while, but I promise I’ve been updating every day)

Day 21: • Did coding for 6h 25min(can have done hrs if I had taken it seriusly and didn't watch movies..) • For cursor effect I had to do these:

a. Identify current country or Ocean
    1. Get coordinates of raycaster (Vector3)
    2. Convert it into geojson coordinates
    3. Get country details and its coordinates
    4. Convert country's coordinates back to globe coords
b. Highlight the color of that country
c. Add particles on hover and delete on moving away

I did a1, a2, a3 but later found that my coordinates are wrong idk why, I think I am missing something or doing something wrong hence I will repeat it today. Day 22: • DO coding for 9 hrs today • Make the cursor effect a reality somehow but don't ask anything to AI(not even math formulas..) • Study for 30 min atleast

Log #1 @ Scrapbook about MOONSHOT!! As of right now I am at a total of 31.8 hours!! I'm on track for 75 if I can do it, and if I can't well, I'm sure I'd be disappointed on missing out on NASA, but hey? Its a learning opportunity yk? :50days: Day 21/50 AoC was a bit harder (especially part 1 compared to part 2). I've made a custom background for starblog using some kind of noises (very light), I think i'll publish starblog soon for #C09JQE8P8EA|

Day 19/50 • Showcased Milkyway Pets in a huddle! I was really nervous so congrats to everybody else who participated in either showcase :blahaj-heart: It's so inspiring seeing everybody else's projects and just makes me more motivated :D • Worked a bit on my personal website. I don't think I'm gonna finish it by the dealine for #C09JQE8P8EA| but I'm fine with that. • Played piano for a bit, cleaned my room, backed up some files to a 2TB HDD I got from SoM Screenshot is from the huddle, the game is 21st Century Love Story by Kaylee and Athena.

:50days: Days 12, 13, 14, and 15 of 50 (yeah I missed a bunch of days + also Slack migration), I: • don't have school until next Monday because of Thanksgiving break :thonksgiving: • drove to Northern California for my brother's marching band state competition on Sunday; they got 2nd place :baritone: • stopped on the way at my friend's house for a sleepover on Saturday since the drive was like 4.5 hours :sleeping_accommodation: • woke up really late on Monday (like 11ish I think??) 🛏 • planned filming and stuff for my English video project on Monday 📜 • actually filmed the English video project clips on Tuesday (today) for 2 hours 📹 • went to the dentist for a normal checkup; everything's fine 🦷 • finished @ToneTagFramework(lraj23) , my Siege Week 12 project, on Saturday and Tuesday :tone-tag-framework: • started @lraj23SelfBot(lraj23) , my Siege Week 13 project, on Tuesday :lraj23-self-bot: • survived the Slack migration, but ended up joining the IRC anyways :slackbot_thonk: • came back on Slack to 36 or so pings, at least one of which was from @:jollyroger182: (yes at this point there's like nothing to ping about anymore lol) :pingfest: • got a total of 12 contributions over 4 days (see below) :githubparrot: • reached a Duolingo streak of ~~807~~ ~~808~~ ~~809~~ 810 days :duo-knife:

:50days: Day 12/50 I started to read Refactoring English but eh there's 150 pages and I already have a lot of books to read Yesterday (UTC+1), I went to my hackclub in Brest where we made design for a laser-cutted snowball. And today I think I'll try to fix onedrive-proxy

GUESS WHO SHIPPED THEIR HACKPAD!!! i think i forgot to scrapbook yesterday because i thought of doing it, wrote the entry in my mind, and forgot i didnt write it in slack the lock in call really helped, i missed making the speed devboard tho 🥀 i just have to make one more t5 project and i might be able to go to prototype idk tho about my schedule and i still have to ask my parents for permission i finished two school projects, my health project and my photosynthesis biology project this took two nights of 2am sleep for some reason i feel more awake the later i sleep, i think im just weird 😛 i think i finally found my true friend group at school, they kept me motivated when i was locking in in all of my work at midnight 😄 discord is such a peak social media platform, no hate to slack ofc but its more of a workspace type thing, i love discord activities and all the fun little things in discord like soundboard and gifs i need to lock in for my ftc team, i need to cad a robot design for our qualifier soon, we are kind of a rookie team and we are all learning how to do all the robotics stuff like cadding, coding, 3d printing, etc while managing like a dozen other activities and school and everything 😞 i love onshape for cadding, sketching and extruding is just so satisfying :star-struck: i also have to learn more godot so i can do well in skillsusa this year, hopefully nats?? and i need to make my ev build and ento binder for scioly 😛 ❤️ thats all for today i gotta sleep now ;)

Day 10/:50days:! I'm still feeling sick, but it's getting better and I think it'll be gone by Monday. I set pretty low expectations for myself today, but I did more than I thought I would so that feels good. • I wrote an about me page for my new personal website! I lowkey dread writing but once I got in the flow it was pretty fun! • I went through a past reading paper for Japanese. To get the the most points you basically need to be understanding everything and including it in your answer + analysing the implications or subtext. I can translate the text easily, but it's that deeper understanding and being able to use that information to answer the questions that I find harder. I don't think this counts as study, but I watched the film Happyend with subtitles and really enjoyed it. • Did practice tests for my licence exam - I'm feeling more and more confident that I'll be able to pass :) • Did a little work on my game.

:50days: Day 9/50 Today wasn't very productive, But I've read a lot of docs about gowarc cuz I tried to make my scraper in Golang but it wasn't working on windows (cuz it was using /etc/resolv.conf), so instead of using my laptop (raaahhh debian 13 on top) I tried to fix the library and adding Windows support (which was unsuccessful) So today I've only added a config file to it, and refactored the depth system cuz it was weird and vibe-coded. I think the next step is to add threading to it so it would be even faster. I've also had to buy Andromaque for school today so I had to walk across Brest, uhhhh... Related to books I've continued to read Animal Farm, I'm pretty sure i'll finish it before the end of the year

:50days: *day 8/50* more work on README! spent a while scrolling through old event photos and scrubbing through Hack Club videos to make this little Polaroid collage thingy for README's homepage. also made some CSS fixes and wrote some more content. I think tomorrow I'll add table of contents stuff and some style settings, then deploy so others can start writing

day 7/50 again I didn't do much today beyond dragging myself to school and taking a calculus test. I think I did pretty well? I completely blanked on one of the differentiation problems at the end but everything else made sense. I did a bit of investigating for a C++ assignment that is coming up where we have to make an algorithm to execute the most optimal battleship moves and sink the opponents ships before their algorithm sinks ours. I have some interesting ideas on how to execute this (one being training a small ml model which would be hilariously overkill for this). We don't get the source code of the library that actually runs the battleship logic though so I did a bit of digging through ghidra to see if I can find anything useful. Didn't find much but it was fun to play with for sure.

day 8/50 • cleaned up the anicept cel printhead a little bit to make the parts easier to print • started renovating the X axis - I think I'm making pretty awesome progress!!! • crashed out at school :loll: • fooled around with friends

Day 6 1. Went into school early to study for my afternoon Level 3 Economics exam (Year 13 exam, I’m in Year 12) 2. Had my exam! It went pretty well and I think that was an excellence! 3. Got home and had a meeting for #C08HX0F11BP| 4. Started making the budget for #C08HX0F11BP| 5. Played games for the rest of the night to relax for once, no exams for a week so will be working on #C07KRNHG339| bts! Not crazily productive but had an exam that went well so it evens out (Had to repost to add an image for scrappy 8 hours later :3kcursed:)

oello its uh day 7 of :50days: i believe I decided to work on my ysuii (jk its YSWSs there was a massive conversation in confessions) (#C09QZE9D85U| and #C09TG04FFK6|) • (Bossfighting) I think i created this today or yesterday, but I started ideas on the logo design. hopefully it doesn't end up too chaotic • (Partybox) started drawing out all of the drawings from the jackbox gamenight in affinity (which i just downloaded today so a lot of the drawings are scuffed, compounding with my severe lack of drawing experience :noooovanish:) • (Partybox) redrew the mascot (partypheus) in affinity instead of aseprite this time (dk why I thought drawing it in aseprite initially would be a good idea) and it looks kinda cute In other news, • Went to the gym :exhausted: it was pull day, preacher curls are always fun tho bicep go boom • Joined some personal channels today! oh yea here's the partypheus redesign :yayayayayay: im bad at art ok lemme have this :heavysob: I guess I have to end this with something funny or deep or something uhh "Build with each other. day 7/50 • finished anicept cel printhead!!!!!!!!!!! really happy with how it looks. Wire routing I think is pretty decent, but may need work depending on how flexible the hotend wires are • did research for it, and started making a nice clean BOM • moved a random component for no reason • school + piano :yippee:

Day 4 of :50days:: I spent most of today coding • Spent a while trying to implement a system tray icon for Milkyway Pets. Spent a while attempting to implement a system tray icon for Milkyway Pets. SDL3 is fairly new, so the Rust bindings I'm using didn't have a wrapper for the tray API - meaning I had to implement my own. I don't know whether it was the way I wrote it, but the API just wouldn't play nice with WaitEvent, which blocks the application until events occur, reducing CPU usage. In the end I went for a hybrid solution which updates a minimum 4 times per second, or whenever events occur. Hopefully this will suffice until I can work out the kinks in the API (and maybe even merge it upstream 👀) • Did some thinking on my YSWS • Bunch of housework lol

Day 2 1. My Physics exam was today! It went well which I'm happy about, I think I got Excellence in Mechanics and Electricity and Electromagnetism, and probably Merit in Waves. Now I'll have a bit more time before my next exam! 2. Went for a run this morning - was an amazing way to clear my head!! 3. Did a ton of study before the exam too 4. Had a relaxing evening! Ready to start it over tomorrow but put more of a focus on my coding projects! 5. Didn't do any work for #C08HX0F11BP| or #C07KRNHG339| but will make up for it tomorrow! I think it went pretty well, I was confused a bit by the DC Circuits section but having spammed past papers helped a lot :) • Found out that apparently the test conditions for the license exam will be changing next month?? Gonna call and book my test tomorrow • Transcribed some sheet music from an arrangement On The Sunny Side Of The Street that I'll transpose and start practicing tomorrow

Day 1/50! Today I've: • Done ~1 hour of work on my games for #C09EZSEMB16|. I got a friend to play through my platformer and by the way she was struggling I can see that I need to make the player movement and level design a lot more forgiving. Also massively reduced the CPU usage of my Hackatime desktop pet • Spent most of the day studying physics at school with a mate, now doing past papers in preparation for tomorrow (Feeling confident for Mechanics, less so for Electricity) • Sat a practice test for my licence exam and got 33/35! :yay: I think the strat is just to spam practice exams until I feel confident enough to do the actual exam • Cleared out my Anki backlog for Japanese

Day 2 update: Sadly I'm still sick and I didn't get as much as I wanted done. Did a small amount of prep for Parthenon this weekend. So excited! My sister baked cookies in my house for every attendee, so it smelled like cookies all day. Had a meeting with a partner to talk about some 2025 plans. I'm trying to get all the orgs that care about coding to align on helping people make actually real projects - and Hack Club can help with that. Did some thinking on dashboarding. We really need a good way to understand how all the current fall 2025 programs are tracking. We had that for summer and don't have that now. Reviewed our 990 before filing it and gave the last round of edits before it's submitted. Did a little bit of thinking on how to better surface and communicate awesome projects by Hack Clubbers. When you make an awesome project - whether you're a beginner or really advanced - you should feel super celebrated by the community. It's also important that projects are curated in some way for the community - or else it can feel like everything is slop. When the truth is if 20% of projects are not super high quality (everyone starts somewhere) but there are just a lot of projects overall, those 20% feel like 100% of the projects. I'm almost wondering if something like Hacker News but for Hack Clubber projects could be cool. Or some other way to explore really cool things. Finally got IBL (mostly) working in my OpenGL renderer. I spent most of yesterday debugging some weird artifacts I was getting, but I'm pretty sure it was just some crazy high values from the HDR map I was sampling, because it works fine now after I switched to the hdr map used in the learnopengl.com tutorials. (So I just need to add some clamping to the values I think).

Good morning everyone! (oh shoot, it's actually 4pm here rn... it still feels like morning lol) Yesterday Luca ( @Slloom ) and I finished the boba drops workshop with our club! (Almost) everyone was able to submit, but hopefully everyone else will be able to submit it within a few days. Shoutout Natalie (@?) who went above and beyond on her website and kept adding to it in between meetings! Check it out here! I think Luca and I will plan to do swirl in the next few meetings, and then maybe we'll start to introduce limited time YSWSs. I've made some more updates to my personal website, mostly aesthetic. I moved The Ghost to a secondary page so the main page can be more of an intro. I've got a small About Me, some links, and a projects section. I want to set that bit up like the SoM projects page: image, description, links, etc. but I'm not sure how... Yet. Apart from that, I think I'll try to do Blueprint, since I never got to submit the project I made for Highway, but I may not get to it till after Nov 9 when I finish the play I'm part of, The Play That Goes Wrong. I'd like to do Moonshot, since I really enjoyed Juice, but my parents don't want me to go to any more travel HC events after Neighborhood (even though I wasn't there), which I get for safety reasons, but also I've found no other organization that does what HC does in terms of travel events. Maybe in a year or so, if HC implements enough safety policies and such to my parents satisfaction, I'll be able to go to another. We'll see. (If someone at HQ wants to hear what safety stuff, dm me, cuz I'm sure other parents would want them as well) Anyways, on a completely separate note, Everyone keeps mishearing "Hack Club" as "Hat Club" so I wonder if we should rename the club from a very boring school-name-hack-club to The Mad Hackkers. What do you think?

It's like :wakatime: WakaTime but FOSS and made with a :rust: Rust backend, :svelte: Sveltekit frontend and :postgres: TimescaleDB (Postgres extension) • why? It is a minecraft mod that adds typical Dutch :flag-nl: Foods (snacks, etc) and other Dutch stuff. Think of stuff like: • Bitterballen • Cheese • Stroopwafels • Kale (boerenkool) • Oliebollen • *More* I even updated the mod to 1.21.9 already! 6/365: • book: color theory... honeslty i already knew it so i just threw some colors and moved on main course. so today i was at art shop and got myself some cool art supplies, wich inclued but are not limited to B2 pen, H6 pen (was intending on H3 [WHO PUT H6 IN H3 ;-;]), mecanical pencil AND CHARCOAL SET :DD (Holy shit i love it already, bit messy but worth it as black couldn't be more black, as well so fun to draw with as you can just let yourself go with the flow, HIGLY RECOMEND :DD) • Time: bout hour and half • Yap: As i said it was color theory in the book.. BUT IT'S BOORING so i decided to have fun with pencils that i just got, and IT WAS AWESOM :xxdd:, and drew some random things to test em out and at the end my big days work (i think it looks cool AF :blob_hype: [if you don't take the perspective as i simply can't it's too hard ;-;]), so yeah was sick to draw with charcoal FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE :))
