mini update! my backdrop build project is making excellent progress! I was set back trying to teach myself a new stack, and had to switch back to something I was more familiar with in order to keep up with the pacing of backdrop.
New Project! I was inspired by the #community’s need for a bot to private/unprivate channels as only workspace owners can preform that action. Enter @Slacky! Yesterday I spent a bit of time working on the @MagicMirror for Purple Bubble. :purplebubble:
Magic Mirror is just a simple little slack bot (it’s actually 2 under the hood 😭) that listens for messages in #purplebubble & #C06AXC7B0QN| and relays them to the purple bubble slack (and vise versa)!
We do some communication as a team in both places and it was getting really confusing, so this solves that!

website update! @Aram and I fixed up the photos page, and I added some styling to the main page :) it’s a bit bland rn but im playing around with styles I found on www.svgbackgrounds.com/set/free-svg-backgrounds-and-patterns which is like one of my new favorite web tools

MVP!!! My school used to use this horrible google sheet to track when we loaned someone a chromebook, and I built out a rails app to replace it! Deploy / Demo will be up soon I hope :)
I made a thing! Essentially, when it gets too warm, the tiny hands attached to a servo will get angry and spin back and forth hitting you. Is it completely pointless? Yes. But is it amazing? Also yes.

Using N8N workflows, auto triggered by my car driving focus (auto triggered by my car bluetooth), when I start driving, my slack status now reflects that! (i considered tying in gps, that might be going a bit too far tho /s )

Just shipped github.com/jdogcoder/harvest-hackathon-game as part of #harvest! Currently at an semi MVP, and site will 100% crash/error if more than 2 people try to play the game, but essentially you each control a hand, and are trying to get them to link. I have yet to build this in, but you will then have to avoid obstacles for as long as possible. When this was going to tie in with Haunted House, after 30 seconds of avoiding it would redirect to the next haunted house room, but I am going to convert it so its leaderboard based. If you want to attempt, you and a friend can visit harvest-hackathon-game.vercel.app/game. It may crash if others are on, not super sure yet. More refactoring to come shortly. A HUGE thanks to @zrl and @Elliot for their help on this!
